It's still a work in progress, done by a noob (the president) who's never done something like this before and feels incredibly proud upon the fact that you can read this (and, indeed, have found this page).
We host Boardgaming events every Saturday during term time in the Trinity College JCR, starting at 7:00pm and usually running beyond midnight. Whether you are an experienced pro player and have played thousands of games, or just want to come along for some occasional fun, you are more than welcome. Open to members of all colleges of course! No need to stay all the time, just drop in or out as you can make it.
In addition to the numerous games the society owns (see a list here) we are happy to have you bring along your own, you will almost certainly find someone to play it with you. Also, there is usually some food/drink/laughter so you won't regret coming. :)
The society has an infamous reputation for its occasionally ...unusual weekly reminders. If you want to find out what I mean by that you can either sign up or check our archive.
Coming soon...
No! All is free. Although we always appreciate if you bring food along.
Various. From 10 minute card games like Hanabi over classic chess to 4 hour epic boardgames like War of the Ring, anything you want. For a list see here.
Of course everyone is welcome! If anything at all, we require a minimum of humour. ;)
Nope! Not as though we weren't capable of managing membership or anything... But if you want to sign up for our mailing list click here.
Yes indeed. We are not a competitive society and it's not at all about who wins most games during one evening. It's about having a fun evening and relaxing, and we are more than happy to teach you the rules of any game you don't know.'
Enter through Great Gate on Trinity Street, then turn left immediately. Walk down to I staircase and enter through the door next to the bar. Go upstairs, knock on the door loudly and speak "Open Sesame!" and we will let you in. Or, if we can't hear you ask a Trinity student around to open the door for you.
Because 42. And this.
